The Town of Stettler is in east-central Alberta, Canada within the County of Stettler. It is located at the junction of Highway 12 and Highway 56 and is approximately 183 km south of Alberta's capital city, Edmonton and 226 km from Calgary. The Edmonton International Airport and Calgary International Airport are both an easy two hour drive from Stettler. Our location makes us a thoroughfare for Eastern Albertans and our town of approximately six thousand services a population of almost 20,000. We are also just a 20 minute to beautiful Buffalo Lake which offers lots of fishing, swimming, camping and fun throughout all the seasons. Our country side is covered is a sparkling white through winter, deep greens in the Spring, shining bright yellow with canola fields in the Summer and sprinkled with warm colours through the Fall. Stettler has delicious restaurants, pubs, parks, a thriving Recreation Centre a fun, busy library, Alberta Prairie Railway Excursions, a full service hospital, a business centre, a lovely Main Street, and much more to offer its residents. Stettler is nicknamed "The Heart of Alberta" and we like that.
